Hey guys
I wanted to leave a brief message to let everyone know I'm in the Hospital.
I had to be brought into the ER this Thursday morning because I've been really sick. I collapsed one of my lungs. I now have a tube in my side to help me breathe and get out fluid. I'm over at Shelby Baptist in Alabaster, not sure how long I will be in the HP but I've improved a bit since coming in. I had an X-ray taken on Friday and it showed improvement. Hopefully after the weekend I'll have good news such as maybe a date that I can go home or possible having my tube removed.
But for now I'm hanging in there. I hope everyone has a good weekend. The HP has wireless Net access so I'll be able to check for messages this weekend (i'm borrowing my g/f's laptop)
Just a small update for everyone.
I saw the DR today, and I'm going to be getting an X-Ray tomorrow and seeing how that looks, if things look good, they may turn off my chest tube and see how I do without it for a while. My O2 levels reached 98 today which is really really good, course it goes up and down but 98 is really high for me.
I also was able sit up in bed and actually get out of bed and sit in the chair close by. So things are going well. I'll let you know how things go with my tube.

Still making a bit of progress, they stopped the suction on my chest tube yesterday afternoon, and made it the whole night without any problems. Supposed to get an X-ray again today, yesterday's didn't seem to show any signs of change the DR said. So we'll see how today goes
I also got one of my IVs out, thank god. I'm still on meds though. pretty much throughout the day. ( I had an IV in from b4 I came in the HP, now I'm just using that one, rathing then having 2 tubes; one in each arm)
Update 07.24.07
I'm still waiting to get an Xray today. once I do the DR will see how it looks and if things are still progressing like they have been I'll be having my chest tube removed this afternoon, and the possibility of going home tomorrow and continuing on meds at home for another 10 days. So far so good.
Update 07.27.07 - I'm Home!
Hi guys
Guess what?! I'm home! I left this morning, and have been home since bout 10:30ish. I had to stay an extra couple days in because I've been running a temp, but the DR said that i was able to go home and he wasn't concerned about my temp popping up. He felt I should leave and finish up at home rather than staying in too long and possibly catch something else. So Im home now, still on meds, still tired, but home and now hopefully I can catch up on some sleep.
It'll be a long road, i went through allot of trauma the other week, so getting back to normal is going to take some time. Hopefully if all goes well, i'll be making it to DragonCon still, but now its just resting up...
